Wilton Police are thrilled to report that "Wilton did it!" Lock It or Lose It WORKS!
Despite sustained activity of thefts from vehicles and stolen vehicles in the State of CT and surrounding communities, we here in Wilton went the entire month with no reported thefts from vehicles and/or stolen vehicles.
A great way to end the year!
Our officers are acutely aware of the issue and have been proactive in their patrolling of the community - creating a deterrent through visibility and enforcement.
Thank you to our Wilton community for adhering to the message by locking your vehicles and securing valuables. Special thanks to Peg Koellmer and her Realty Seven team as well as Wilton CERT for assisting with the messaging and deployment of the Variable Message Sign you may have seen at various locations throughout the Town of Wilton in the month of December that simply displayed, "Please Lock Your Cars - Lock it or Lose it"
