ARREST - Larceny in the First Degree
Lucio Balthazar Gonzales (33) of Midway Dr in Bethel, CT was arrested during the early morning hours of 12/24/2019 by members of the Wilton Police Detective Division near his home.
The investigation stems back to 02/10/2019 when the accused was working to assist a resident with preparing a home for sale and providing handyman tasks. The accused stole over $50,000 in jewelry from the homeowner. The extensive investigation had detectives obtain search warrants for the accused's DNA and compare the profile against evidence left at the crime scene. The accused's DNA was a match and an arrest warrant was then issued by the Stamford Superior Court.
The accused was processed and held in lieu of a court set bond of $250,000.00. He will be arraigned at the Norwalk Superior Court on 12/24/2019.
