Weather Wreaking Havoc on Town Buildings

Frost heaves have caused columns to move at the Woodbury Senior Community Center.

The patio slab in front of the Senior Center was lifted by the record frost we had this winter. The 1-11/2" movement has caused a shift in the support columns for the portico at the front entrance to the building.

First Selectman Bill Butterly is consulting with CIRMA, the town's insurance carrier in the event that there is structural damage.

Other town buildings including the Woodbury Library have had to shore up book shelves due to the dripping water causes by ice dams on the eaves by the Teen section.
