Yorktown Chamber of Commerce President's Column as published in the February 2020 Newsletter on January 30, 2020:
In 2019 we welcomed 39 new members to our organization!
Let me begin this column by saying that I am proud to say that The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1945 and our mission is to promote business within the five hamlets. Stability, commitment and longevity are some of the virtues you support by being a member. It takes a lot to make the benefits you enjoy as a member available and we thank you for your past, present and future support. If we may be of service to you or your organization, please contact the office at 914-245-4599. All inquiries are confidential, and we are here for all business owners.
To keep this organization successful, it is time to consider the appropriate steps to insure its continuation, not just as an organization but as a highly successful entity, regardless of who is at the helm. It is imperative the Chamber’s voice continues to be heard in town hall. As the representative of the business community, the policies put forth by the legislative committee are a direct result of the studies and discussions within the Chamber that best serve our community.

As a board member and now President I have done very well networking through the Chamber mostly by attending networking meetings. I invite all members to attend these meetings. Get out and meet your neighbors and make new friends. I can profoundly state that new leads and new business opportunities are right outside our doors if we have the energy to pursue them. The YCC has several ways to enhance your business with no outlay of cash. The Chamber has many opportunities to promote your business. The question is: Do you take advantage of them? Get out your calendar and save the dates for our exciting upcoming Chamber events!
Promote your business at Yorktown’s crossroads at the corner of Route 202 and 118 and sign up for a spot on the Chamber’s LED sign displaying your message viewed by 22,000 passing motorists each week. At an unbelievable cost of just $100 per month. (Chamber members: a 20% discount)! Call the Chamber and take advantage of this great deal.
As we proceed through the year, I will continue to update you on Chamber activities, policies and productiveness.
