Club Fit Hosts Art Show to Benefit Hope for Youth Foundation

WHUD on-air personality Jim Witt held his 2020 Hudson Valley Long Range Weather Calendar launch Tuesday, September 10th at Club Fit Jefferson Valley. The event also kicked off a month-long charity art show to benefit the Hope for Youth Foundation. The foundation, created by Jim, supports charities primarily in the Hudson Valley that focus on assisting young people who are disabled, ill, or disadvantaged. Service volunteers from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Shrub Oak were on-hand to greet and assist attendees. Guests enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres catered by Club Fit’s on-site café.

The 2020 calendar features photos by Alison Poulakis, Brian Vangor, Carol Pedersen, Ed Mekeel, Giuliano Sista, Howard Copeland, Jack Callaghan, Joseph Squillante, Scott Snell, and Vince Ferraro. Additional artists featured in the show are Phil Haber and the late Joe Deutsch. The show is dedicated to the memory of Joe Deutsch, with 100% of proceeds from sales of his work going to support the Hope For Youth Foundation. Additionally, 50% of the proceeds from all other photos sold during the show will be donated to the foundation, along with 100% of the funds raised through sales of Jim’s calendar.

Club Fit’s Chief Marketing Executive, Jenet Ferris, who also serves on the foundation’s board of directors, coordinated the event. Jenet is excited to add Hope for Youth to the growing list of local charities already supported by Club Fit. “Club Fit and Hope for Youth are both focused on helping members of our community. It’s a perfect fit to collaborate with like-minded organizations benefitting the community at large. We look forward to continuing our partnership in mutually beneficial ways. ”

The show runs through the end of September at Club Fit Jefferson Valley. Please feel free to call 914-245-4040 or visit clubfit.com for more info.
