Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee Raising Funds for their Scholarship Program

Each year The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce reaches out to all its members with an appeal to support our local youth by contributing to their annual Scholarship Fund. In the past, we have been able to award scholarships ranging from $500.00 to $1,000.00 to many deserving students because of the generosity of our members.

Once again, we hope to award scholarships to deserving local college bound high school seniors who are nominated by you, our Chamber members. The criteria used to determine the scholarship winners include academic achievement, involvement in school activities and community service. To be eligible, Candidates must be at least one of the following: (i) a child or grandchild, of a Chamber member, or (ii) a resident of the Town of Yorktown, or (iii) enrolled at Yorktown High School, Lakeland High School, or Walter Panas High School. A candidate must also have been accepted by an accredited college by the time the awards are issued.

This year you may make your donation ONLINE by clicking here. If you prefer to pay by check, here is a link to the DONATION FORM. We ask that you make a substantial contribution to our fund so that we can continue to grant as many scholarships as possible. If you have contributed before, we thank you and hope that you will continue to support this important endeavor. If you haven't been a part of this drive before, we sincerely hope you will consider participating this year. It is a great feeling to know that you have supported our local students and their families and helped them achieve their educational and career goals.

Each donor will (i) receive a certificate acknowledging support of this important youth oriented initiative, (ii) be listed in local media and in the Chamber newsletter; and (iii) if the donation is at least $75.00, be invited with one companion to attend the Scholarship Award Dinner as the guest of the Chamber.

We thank you in advance for your generous and continued support.

Scholarships will be presented at a dinner on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, venue TBA. For more information please visit the Chamber website.
