Baseball is just around the corner! Celebrate the start of Spring Training with this discussion. Baseball has been played in the United States for more than two centuries in various forms. It is in the culture where baseball has a rich history. From Casey At The Bat to Take Me Out To The Ballgame to Who’s on First, baseball has flourished in poem, song, vaudeville/comedy, radio, TV, movies and music. Baseball cards were an essential part of a young man’s life and Joe and Marilyn filled the gossip columns. Led by Evan Weiner this talk will focus on baseball’s incredible impact on our culture. Open to teens and adults. Registration online: www.yorktownlibrary.org/
