VOB Film Festival: Dinner and a Movie

This year, the VOB Film Festival is bringing back its Dinner and a Movie event. The event will be held on Friday, August 23 from 6:30-10PM at Arts on the Lake in Kent, NY. Check-in opens at 6PM.

The event will feature about 30 minutes of short independent films and a feature-length comedy. The event includes a full dinner, cake and coffee.

Below is the information about the films shown

Breaking Ground
From the Ringling College of Art and Design, the VOB Film Festival hosts the top animated films from one of the premier colleges for animation in the country.  Breaking Ground is a smart, funny and vivid account of one woman's journey into paleontology.

Dodgson
One of our most awarded short films of the festival, Dodgson tells the tale of a psychiatrist with a plagued childhood who has to confront his deceased father's success.  The story is a great twist with a powerful ending. A must see

Temptation of St. Francis
What happens when two garden statues suddenly spring to life and come to realize what is possible? This animated short is funny and engaging and will rival many of the animated films coming out of major studios

Icons
500 years of history in 5 minutes.  How many of these iconic figures can you recognize?

Feature Film
Wall of Flesh - A Vintage Comedy
This chaotic, hilarious movie of a faded rock star and his bid to get back on the charts is bound to make you laugh.  Along the way, he confronts some of his "mistakes" including the daughter that he never knew he had.  Watching the band get back together has never been more fun.

Come out and join us for a great night of food and laughs and support independent film.
