Private Zoom Reading of the Hilarious and Slightly Twisted Play, Love/Sick

The Cultural Arts Coalition is proud to present our 2nd in a series of online Theatrical Performances. We know how desperately our community misses the arts so please join us for a private ZOOM ROOM reading of the play “Love Sick” by John Cariani.  This event is FREE but has a limited capacity for viewers so please reserve your spots right away.

Directed by Pia Haas, this Reading will include the magical talents of community couples; Matt & Jess Vanacoro, Stephanie Schleicher & Daniel Basiletti, Christine & Keith DiBuono, Brandi Gestri & Lou Simmons as well as several others.

A darker cousin to the play Almost, Maine, John Cariani’s LOVE/SICK is a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, this 80-minute romp explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love. Full of imperfect lovers and dreamers, LOVE/SICK is an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.

Date: July 11

Don’t miss this...

“Whimsical romantic comedy. In the nine vignettes that make up [the] play, couples meet [or] break apart or learn to love each other more…the jokes here are easygoing and snark-free.” —The New York Times.

About The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition:
The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining cultural arts within the Town of Southeast and its surrounding region. TOSCAC was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in August 2010 with the purpose, as detailed in the incorporation papers, “... to promote and raise funds for the development and effective management of affordable, accessible performance space that will provide citizens of the Town of Southeast opportunities to participate in and appreciate cultural arts, including lectures, theater, dance, film, music, visual arts, and inclusive community events.”

Our current focus is the renovation of the Southeast Old Town Hall, a historic landmark within the Village of Brewster and a perfect venue to serve as a cultural hub. The Old Town Hall has been described as a “Jewel in the Center of Brewster” and its renovation will help foster the revitalization of downtown Brewster.
