UPDATE: Water Main Break in Yorktown currently being repaired

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District reported at 1130 am that the water main break on Nutly Circle earlier this morning has been repaired and water service has been restored.

If anyone experiences discolored water and/or air in the pipes please run the cold water only until it clears. 


 

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District advises that hydrant flushing will also take

place on several town roads today.


The Town of Yorktown is advising resident of the Nutly Circle area that there is a water main break on Nutly Circle (Jefferson Valley) and the area's water service will be temporarily interrupted. The Water District staff is currently at the site working on the repair and will restore service as soon as possible.  If anyone experiences discolored water and/or air in the pipes please run the cold water only until it clears. 

in Other Water Department related events, the Yorktown Consolidated Water District will be flushing fire hydrants on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 on Andrea Rd, Carol Ct, Cordial Rd, Curry St, Elk Ct, Forest Ct, Fox Croft Ln, Ichabod Ct, Katrina Dr, Page Ct, Ravencrest Rd, Sheila Ct, Somerston Rd, Sulin Ct, Tulip Dr, and Weskora Rd.

Flushing may cause some discoloration of water.  Residents are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur.  If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets until it clears.
