Schoolhouse Theater presents "Below the Belt" by Richard Dresser in a Zoom Matinee

The Schoolhouse Theater presents "Below the Belt" by Richard Dresser in a Zoom Matinee this Saturday, June 12 at 3 pm.

Below the Belt is a tour de force. A funny but sadistic No Exit for the age of Halliburton.

Stuck in a distant foreign desert, the three-man piece is a fantastic showcase for actors, plumbing the depths of despair while mining the vaudevillian ridiculousness of a relationship triangle where they each try to both destroy and befriend the others. Of course the irony is that each man remains voluntarily, hoping for a better place in the "company", thus sealing his own fate.

Below the Belt was a sleeper hit of 1995,

starring Judd Hirsch and Robert Sean Leonard.

Below the Belt is offered free of charge as part of The Schoolhouse Theater’s series of Zoom matinees.
