Westchester Hike For Hope 2019

Exercise and staying physically fit are contributing factors in maintaining our mental wellbeing. An active heart helps create a healthy mind. To that end, we invite you to support our Hike for Hope that will take place on Saturday, May 4th at FDR State Park!

Check-in and on-site registration begin at 9 AM. Hiking begins at 10 AM and will run until 12:30 PM.

Add a few more steps to your day by also joining us for the Pace University Pleasantville Campus Walk later that day; that walk begins at 4 PM (check-in begins at 3 PM).

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope and support. It is a walk that unites a campus and community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from campuses across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
