Pines Bridge Monument Commemorative Brick ceremony

On Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 1-4 PM, The Pines Bridge Monument Committee, the Yorktown Historical Society, and the Town of
Yorktown will commemorate the Battle of Pines Bridge at the Pines Bridge Monument at Railroad Park in Yorktown Heights. Programming will begin at 2:00 PM. The monument was unveiled in November of 2018. On May 11, 2019, the newly created Plaza and Memorial Walkway will be unveiled and dedicated. The Plaza will include commemorative bricks donated in support of the monument since its conception almost 10 years ago. The date coincides with the 238th anniversary of the battle on May 14, 1781. The public is invited to join us and our community for this historic event and commemoration. On hand will be sculptor Jay Warren. Other special presentations are being planned for the day including a visit from His Excellency, Gen. George Washington and members of the Rhode Island Regiment.
