Do you get the impression that there is a lot going on in the Chamber these days? Well it’s not your imagination. Take a look at the Chamber’s very full schedule of events on page 5 of this newsletter. How many events will you attend? Make sure that you are part of it. May I ask all of you to take a few moments out of your schedule on a weekly basis to see what you can do to help this Chamber be the best it can be. Please look to Chamber Members first for your all your business needs. We have a diverse membership covering every service imaginable. It will pay dividends and build your referral base.
Let me take this opportunity to thank our “Business Social” host, Matthew Crossett of the Yorktown Grille for doing such a fantastic job with our first post summer membership event. It was great seeing all our members after the summer hiatus. We welcomed and inducted 12 new members.
Just 12 days to go before the 11th Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Festival & Street Fair comes to Yorktown once again! If you haven’t registered to be part of this exciting event, please call the Chamber office at 914-245-4599 for a vendor spot. Your business will have the maximum exposure to the 15,000 attending this event. With live music, local student performances, crafts, a senior luncheon, classic cars and rides and games coupled with an Oktoberfest Beer Garden and a White Castle Eating Contest there is something for everyone!
The Yorktown Chamber is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Halston Media Group “How to Target Market to Maximize Media Results” Workshop on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Somers Community Center @ Crystal Hall, 34 Hillandale Road, Yorktown Heights, NY. This multi chamber sponsored event includes a 90 minute seminar with the well respected Mike Blinder. (See flyer on page 10).
Please join me in congratulating PCSB and Sports Attic on their grand openings! As you know the Chamber attends all our Chamber Member’s grand openings. Call the office to see where we can help make them a success! Whatever your political beliefs may be, there is no greater responsibility as an American than to exercise your right to vote. Please try to attend the Chamber sponsored political debates at the Yorktown Stage For the County Level debate on October 21 and the Town Level debate on October 23, both at 7pm, for a fair, impartial and informative night. I look forward to meeting you so come by and say hello at the Chamber Booth at the Festival & Street Fair!
