So What’s Going To Be Different This Year?

The holidays are behind us and some have made resolutions.  How’s that working for you so far?  Are they the same resolutions from last year?

Let’s take a look at what occurs when we are slipping and sliding in our New Year’s resolutions...again.  We start out with good intentions and life gets busy.  Day to day challenges arise… stress occurs…and you eat that ice cream, smoke the cig, etc.

What’s going to be different this year for you to achieve your intended goals?  Experience teaches us that stress and distractions derail our dreams.  Food, tobacco, alcohol, shopping, gambling and such are just a few of the addictions we regress to fill that emotional “void”.

This year, consider a new approach.  Take a few minutes for yourself and reflect on last year.  Did you accomplish your intended goals?  If not, do you see a pattern of perhaps self-sabotage?  Next, reignite yourself for the New Year and just start over again - yes, today is Day 1 for you.  What do you want to accomplish this year?  You might ask yourself, “Where do I begin?”

As a guide to get you started, use this coaching exercise that has been found to make an impact and be successful.  It’s called “Reflect & Reignite”.  Use this tool as a barometer to keep you on track. It will help you stay focused on your intentions for the New Year, New YOU!  You had a slight derailment, that’s all...get back on track today.  You can request a complimentary copy of this coaching tool here:  glo@coachglo.com and type “Reflect & Reignite” in the subject.
