The Chamber has three major events under its belt for 2019: The Business Social Empowerment Seminars dealing with retirement and tax information which were well received and the 2019 Jilco/Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Home, Lifestyle & Family Show at the Jefferson Valley Mall that saw the largest vendor participation since its inception eight years ago. Judging from the comments of vendors and attendees it was a smashing success!
Our next event will be on Tuesday, March 26 at 6pm, please join us for our first Business Social of the year at Furci’s Restaurant in Yorktown Heights where you will have a chance to meet fellow Chamber members, chat, rub elbows, socialize and yes, of course, do business!
Our second Annual SpringFest is slated for April 13 at the Yorktown Firehouse Carnival Grounds. After a grueling and cold winter everyone is looking forward to this annual spring event where they will be able to hear great bands and enjoy delicious foods with activities for all ages. It will be a great opportunity to “shake off” those winter blues with a celebration of spring as well as offer a unique opportunity to show off your business. Please call the Chamber for additional information as well as vendor applications.
We are excited to announce our first “Power Luncheon” of the season at Savannah & Co. where you will be able to hear presentations from State Senator, Pete Harckham, Westchester County Executive George Latimer and Yorktown Supervisor Ilan Gilbert followed by a Q&A. Please call the Chamber office to make your reservation – seating will be limited.
Our annual “Yorktown Best of . . .Awards Cocktail Reception will be held at Vittoria/Z on the Lake in Jefferson Valley, NY in May with a Journal honoring the 2019 Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year and Organization of the Year. Please support us by encouraging all your friends to attend and take out an ad in the journal promoting your business or supporting one of our honorees.
On October 21 and 23, the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2019 political debates at the Yorktown stage. We look forward and are extremely enthusiastic for the participation of all candidates as these business centric debates will help the citizens of Yorktown in making well informed and educated decisions on election day. Mark it on your calendar and plan to attend.
Please remember that we serve at the pleasure of our membership. Together we can reach new heights through cooperation, participation & dedication to this organization.
