Learn About The Cultures Of Westchester County

The Westchester County Parks Cultural Festivals that are held each summer are some of the most anticipated and attended events of the season. Due to the ever-changing concerns of the pandemic, the festivals are not taking place this year, but you can still learn about the variety of cultures online.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Westchester County’s diversity is what makes the county special as the fabric of our community is strengthened by our diversity. The cultural festivals do a great job of highlighting the county’s diverse culture and gives residents a look at how their neighbors celebrate. While we can’t experience it in person this year, these videos are a great way to for the community to continue to learn about each other’s’ differences and similarities.”

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “Each summer we welcome the different cultures of Westchester County to celebrate their heritage and share it with the community. We look forward to a time where we can celebrate again in person, but in the meantime, this virtual celebration is a great way to continue to learn about the diversity of Westchester County.”
