Fall'ing Leaves
Autumn has officially begun and so has a new season of fun.
When days get cooler, the changing of the leaves from soft greens to crisp reds, golds and browns brings many opportunities for fun and learning! Here are a few ways to enjoy the fallen leaves of Autumn.
Fall Leaf Art
If you have clear contact paper on hand, collect a variety of leaves and place them between two pieces of contact paper to make seasonal table mats or a window ornament.
Gathering Games
"Guestimate" how many leaves you can gather in a minute and see how accurate you are! Have a race to fill a bag with fallen leaves before jumping on your pile.
Learn why leaves turn color with this fun science video from SciShowKids.
