Green Chimneys Announces Walk-In Wednesday

Putnam County’s 3rd largest employer offers job seekers immediate access

Green Chimneys is reaching out to the community with new ways to connect job seekers with new employment opportunities. As the third largest employer in Putnam County, Green Chimneys offers numerous options for career professionals, recent graduates, retirees, and individuals returning to work following a break in employment.

To facilitate the interview process and help applicants learn more about the positions they wish to pursue, Green Chimneys’ Recruitment Team has launched Walk In Wednesdays. Each week, several hours are designated for prospective candidates to meet Green Chimneys staff face-to-face to ask questions, hear about the organization, and even get direct assistance applying online.

Green Chimneys is a large nonprofit education and human services agency, primarily serving youth with special needs. The majority of the positions eligible for walk-in interviews are within the Therapeutic Day School, the Residential Treatment Center, and the agency’s Community-Based Services department, which provides a range of social services and mental health support for youth across Putnam County.

Starting October 27th, applicants can come to Green Chimneys’ campuses (400 Doansburg Road in Brewster and 33 Clearpool Road in Carmel) on any Wednesday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm and request an interview.

Upon arrival, applicants will have the opportunity to meet with a Department Hiring Manager or Recruiter, either in-person or via ZOOM for an instant interview. Computers will be available for any ZOOM interviews. For the most efficient meeting possible, Green Chimneys’ recruiters recommend reviewing current job openings and bringing a current resume.
