Jacque's Spin on Music in Somers and Yorktown

Live Music in Somers and Yorktown Heights, NY

I’m thrilled to be writing for The Hamlet Hub and look forward to getting to know you. I began in the music business as a booker which evolved into manager, promoter, marketer and music blogger. As my experience expanded, I worked with national talent agencies. For this column, my focus is to highlight the live music scene in Somers and Yorktown Heights.

There are two shows at The Winery, Mohegan Lake I’m looking forward to in April.  One is Larger Than Life A Tribute to the Boy Bands of the 90s Wed, 4/10. A fun show for those who enjoy the upbeat music of Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, New Kids on the Block or 98 Degrees. They also pay tribute to the Jackson 5, Temptations and more!  Those who follow American Idol, may remember Tony Nominated (Rock of Ages) Constantine Maroulis. Maroulis’ intimate, stripped-down show is on Thursday, 4/25.

I recently interviewed owner/performer, Matt Crossett who he tells me there is an underground music scene forming at the Yorktown Grille in the Yorktown Green Shopping Center Thursday nights. Sign up is at 8:30 and the music starts at 9:30 p.m.

I’m always happy to catch Somers native, Dan Zlotnick at The Burger Barn.  Dan is the restaurant’s sole entertainer and this month he's there Sat, 4/20 with a set of acoustic music from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  The Somers Library is featuring a jazz trio on Sun, 4/14 at 2 p.m., and with the weather warming up I hope to hear about more events from you.

Thank you for reading. If you have a space for live music, please reach out to me,  JacquesGiantShow@gmail.com.
