The Friends of Lasdon Park and Arboretum are excited to present this immersive program where children will experience history first-hand. Each 2-hour session will consist of a number of fun-filled, educational activities, demonstrations and ending with the firing of a real civil war cannon.
Children will witness history while learning about the life of civil war soldiers and their families. From the toys and games they played with, to the skills they needed to survive, this program is sure to give children a reason to love history.
Suggested for children ages 7 – 12. This program will be located out of doors, so children will need to come prepared to stay outside during the camp. Participants should bring water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothing for outside activities.
