As Regional Director at Empire State Development, Meghan Taylor is responsible for guiding and managing ESD’s Mid-Hudson Regional Office and Regional Economic Development Council initiatives within the seven county regions. Under Meghan’s leadership, the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council has secured over $258 million to fund 327 projects. In addition to the successes the region has had through the CFA process, she has also been instrumental in attracting and retaining many companies in the region outside of that process.

Meghan and her team work alongside their constituents to develop economic strategies to position the seven county region for the future. She continuously works to identify growing trends in several sectors, including energy (high-technology, biotechnology and green technology), film television, financial services, advanced manufacturing, agribusiness, tourism and international opportunities. During the February Contact Breakfast, Meghan will be discussing economic initiatives in the Hudson Valley for 2019 and beyond.
