Police find 2 deceased adults and a live infant in Lewisboro Residence

Police in Lewisboro, NY located the bodies of two adults during a welfare check at a Lewisboro residence late Tuesday evening according to the New York State Police in Somers.

The cause of death for the two adults is currently under investigation at this time,  however Police said there does not seem to be any foul play or suspicious activity involved. 

An infant was also found alive at the residence and was taken to Westchester County Medical Center for evaluation.

New York State Senator Pete Harckham issued the following statement today in reaction to the news.

"This unspeakable tragedy, as reported, is a sad and stark reminder that we are still in the midst of a profound opioid crisis," Harckham said. "We need to end the stigma of substance use disorder—now!—and let everyone know there is help out there, where they can feel safe and get treatment."  

Harckham is the current Chair of the NY State Senate Committee on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse

The incident is currently under investigation.
