On November 30, 2020, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested James P. Lemon, age 31, of Ossining, NY, for Petit Larceny, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, both class A misdemeanors.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., Troopers responded to Walmart on East Main Street for a report of shoplifting. Investigation determined James Lemon stole several pieces of jewelry before fleeing. Troopers located Lemon on the public bus line and placed him into custody without incident.
Lemon was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Cortlandt Court on December 17, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.
