County Executive George Latimer Statement on Three Kings Day
“Westchester residents Countywide will be celebrating Three Kings Day – or día de los Reyes. This is the day that Christians call the Epiphany, when the three wise men visited baby Jesus and is a traditional celebration in the Latino community. That tradition is proudly carried on here in our Westchester community.
“While Children awoke with gifts in their shoes, signifying the gifts given by the three Magi, it is a day to enjoy the traditional ‘rosca de reyes’ and cherish the gifts we already have as a new year begins. Feliz día de los Reyes to those who celebrate.”
