The Town of Yorktown Department of Parks & Recreation have begun to accept applications for our 2019 seasonal employment opportunities. From day camp staff, to lifeguards, to pool attendants, to seasonal park workers, 2019 applications are now available online and at the Yorktown Parks & Recreation Office, 176 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights.
The Town of Yorktown Department of Parks & Recreation looks forward to providing Town residents with a variety of day camp programs to meet their needs. Our camps are designed so that campers can attend a full day or a half day of camp. Camp locations are coordinated with the local school districts and Grange Fair Grounds. Currently, the 2019 camp sites have not been finalized.
The Town of Yorktown directs a variety of programs, activities, facilities, and events that require additional staff. If you are interested in helping us manage a variety of recreation services and feel comfortable in a public setting, please fill out an application and return it to the Department of Recreation and Parks today. Positions include pool checkers, swim aides, and park maintenance. DEADLINE: Applications accepted until positions are filled.
Candidates must possess American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification OR American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Certification OR other NYS Health Department approved equivalent certification, AND hold American Red Cross Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer CPR or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (or other NYS Health Department approved equivalent). The CPR must be recertified on an annual basis (regardless of 2-year issued certification).
