Paws to Read
Children in grades K-6 can come practice their "read aloud" skills by reading to a friendly canine friend for 15 minutes. Mondays 1/28, 2/11 and 2/25 from 5:30-6:30. Tuesdays 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/12, & 2/19 from 6-7. Saturday February 16 from 10:30-11:30. Register in person or by phone at 914-245-5262 X3.
Valentine’s Day Gift Workshop
Create one of a kind handmade gifts and cards as a token of friendship and appreciation for your friends and family. Choose from several gift ideas. For children in grades 2 - 5. Saturday, February 9th at 11:00am, or 1:00pm. REGISTER FOR ONLY ONE SESSION. Registration online
Stuffed Animal Story Time
Families with children ages 3-6 are invited to come to the library with a favorite stuffed animal and join in a fun and interactive story time. This animal themed program will feature books, rhymes, finger plays, puppets, and music. Light refreshments will be served. Saturday February 23rd 11:00am. Registration online
Teacher- in- the- Library
Free after-school homework help for grades K-6. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:45-7:45pm. *No help when schools are closed or dismissed early. No Registration.
Learn to Knit
For children in grades 3-6. Come have fun learning to knit with Lori Cohen. Build your skills as we learn to knit an accessory of your choice. Experienced knitters are also welcome! Class meets Tuesdays from 4:30pm - 5:30pm on the following dates: January 22 & 29 and February 5 & 12. REQUIRED MATERIALS: Please bring one pair of bamboo, 9 inch long knitting needles size no.7 or no. 8, and one skein of worsted (#4) weight variegated (multicolored) yarn, such as "Craft Smart" or "Red Hart Super Saver" brands, available at JoAnn's, Michael's, and A.C.
