Storm Update From Supervisor Slater

A snow emergency remains in effect today for the Town of Yorktown meaning only essential travel is allowed and on street parking is prohibited.

Town offices will be closed today but our staff will be working remotely. If residents need assistance please email the appropriate staff and they will respond: TOWN DIRECTORY

The John C. Hart Library will also be closed today.

We are still expecting 15-19 inches of snow with winds 35-45 mph. This will cause whiteout conditions and residents are urged to remain home.

Residents are still able to pay their 2nd half school taxes online without penalty today utilizing this link: MAKE TAX PAYMENT ONLINE

For residents who do not want to pay online it can also be postmarked today. The Town's dropbox is still available for residents to drop their tax payments off there as well. Please note, payments after today will incur a 10% penalty as dictated by state law.

Westchester County will be suspending BeeLine Bus and Paratransit Services beginning at 10am.

We will provide more information later this morning as the storm unfolds. Everyone loves a snow day so hunker down, be smart and give our crews and first responders a neighborly wave when they drive by. Our labor force has been out working on the roads since 11pm last night and are poised to keep working for the duration of this weather event
