Local man charged with Aggravated DWI and other V&T offenses

On July 27, 2019 at approximately 12,51 AM, Sgt. Dillon, P.O. Chaparro and P.O. Campion responded to the area of Gamer Street and Curry Street for a vehicle crash. It is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, the defendant, fled the scene on foot prior to Officer's arrival. Investigation at the scene identified the operator as the defendant, Kevin Cahill, 22,  of Yorktown Heights. The investigation also alleges that the defendant Failed to Stop at a Stop Sign and was allegedly Driving while Intoxicated. The defendant was located and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Once at Yorktown PD HQ it is further alleged that the defendant was Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of .18% or greater.


The defendant was processed at police headquarters on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a family member. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August I3, 2019 at 6 PM to answer the charges.
