Westchester County Executive George Latimer has tested positive for COVID-19. He received the positive result after he sought out testing upon hearing that he was exposed at a community event. At his weekly briefing last week, Latimer, who is vaccinated and was planning on getting a booster shot this week, had encouraged county residents to get the Covid 19 booster,.
In a statement Monday afternoon, the county said Latimer is in isolation at his home in Rye and continues to fulfill his duties as County Executive.
