Yorktown Police Arrest Yonkers Man on Burglary Charge

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 29 year old, Yonkers, NY resident, Omar Abulteen who is charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a class D Felony. On March 4th, 2018 the Yorktown Police investigated a commercial burglary at the Gulf Gas Station located at 3451 Crompond Road, Yorktown NY. Det. Shanahan responded and conducted an investigation. During an investigation conducted by Det. Shanahan, evidence was recovered at the scene that allegedly linked the defendant to the crime. It is alleged that the defendant did enter the Gulf Gas Station causing damage and did steal property. The defendant was indicted on the above charge in Westchester County Court. On January 24, 2019 the defendant was at Yorktown Justice Court for another matter where he was placed under arrest and processed at the Yorktown Police Department.
The defendant was brought before the Yorktown Justice Court in front of the Honorable Judge Raniolo. The defendant was held on $10,000 bond or $5,000 cash bail and subsequently turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Westchester County Court on 01/30/2019 at 9:30 pm.
