South Salem Man Arrested After Road Rage Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 51-year-old South Salem man who is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a Class “E” Felony.
 
On March 28, 2022 at about 4:42 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a criminal mischief.  Officer DiNotte responded and met with the victim, who stated she was involved in a road rage incident and alleged that the other involved driver exited his vehicle and punched the hood of her vehicle causing two dents to the hood. 

Officer DiNotte conducted an investigation, during which the defendant was identified as the other involved driver who allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle. 
 
On March 29, 2022 at 5:00 pm, the defendant arrived voluntarily at Yorktown Police Headquarters and was placed under arrest by Officer DiNotte.  After arrest processing was completed, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket for the above charge and released on his own recognizance.  He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 14, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
