A Town of Yorktown employee was struck and killed yesterday while working for the town in the area of 477 London Rd.
Yorktown Police said the incident occurred around 11 am when the 28 year old employee was struck by a vehicle. He was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police have not released the employee’s name pending notification of next of kin.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Yorktown Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit with the aid of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit.
