Katonah Elementary School's 75th Anniversary Celebration

THE FOLLOWING ARE IMPORTANT DETAILS RELATED TO THE DAY’S EVENTS: Friday, June 5th

Parade: The parade is scheduled from 2:00-3:00 pm and will be held outdoors in the circular driveway. You are welcome to join us! Spectators will watch from either the center lawn area or sidewalks. (If it rains we will hold the parade indoors and guests will not be able to attend.)

Parking: The Bedford Police will be closing off Huntville Rd. to traffic between 1:45-3:00 pm. Visitors will therefore need to park on the neighboring streets. As always, please be very careful not to block driveways or park on private property

Dismissal: To minimize congestion at dismissal, we are encouraging students to take the bus home. If you need to pick-up your child early, you will need to do so prior to 1:30 pm. Otherwise, students will be dismissed for pick-up and busses at 3:40 pm.

Adult Alumni Reception: After school, adult alumni are invited to a reception sponsored by the PTO in collaboration with KVIS. All alumni guests are welcome to come into KES and view the classrooms and common areas throughout the building. In order to maintain an orderly and safe environment, we are respectfully requesting that children of Middle School age and below be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Cupcake/Dessert Delivery: Deliveries can be made as follows: 1) have your child bring the treats with them on the bus and a Staff Member will collect it at the plaza, 2) drive up and pass the treats through your car window to an awaiting Staff Member, or 3) bring the treats directly to the Main Entrance where a Staff Member will be stationed.

Parking will be challenging on June 5th . Please leave yourselves plenty of time to park and walk to KES if you are signed up to volunteer, picking up your child, joining us for the parade (weather permitting), or attending the Alumni Reception.
