Roots Music in the Music Room is thrilled to introduce you to Billy Strings & Don Julin, an incendiary guitar and mandolin duo from Michigan who channel the sounds of Appalachia with great virtuosity and ferocious attitude.
Their live shows are mesmerizing, with Strings and Julin goading each other into more intense riffs and improvised breaks, pushing harder onto new levels of musicianship, but never straying from mastery of their instruments or their art. Julin, a colleague and friend of Caramoor favorite David Grisman, is known for his wide versatility, powerful picking technique, and remarkable creativity. Strings, a tattooed 22-year-old guitarist, has the voice of an old soul, the air of a gentleman, and blazing super-human picking abilities. You will leave this evening newly energized and buzzing!
