Katonah’s Mallon Hits Another Milestone

Senior Julia Mallon of Katonah, a star athlete for The Harvey School in three sports, continues to rack up interscholastic athletic records. The 5’ 2’’ midfielder for Harvey’s girls varsity lacrosse team reached the 100-career goal milestone Thursday, March 29, in her team’s 15-6 victory over King School. Mallon, who came into the season with 95 career goals, picked up three in games her team played on a spring trip to Florida two weeks ago and collected her 99th and 100th in Harvey’s regular-season opener against King in Stamford, Connecticut.

Mallon joins varsity teammates senior Sadie Albert of Katonah and junior Sophia Scarsella of Briarcliff Manor as the first three girls in Harvey lacrosse history to score at least 100 career goals. Albert, who is Harvey’s all-time leading scorer, scored her 200th on the Florida trip and Scarsella could very well do the same later this season.

During the winter sports season Mallon, a perennial all-star who has committed to playing both basketball and lacrosse for Emerson College this fall, became the first female athlete in Harvey history to score 1000 career points in basketball. Mallon was also an all-league
