Members of the local community are invited to participate in a celebration of the fall season scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13, on the campus of The Harvey School in Katonah.
As part of the school’s annual Homecoming Weekend celebration, Harvey will host a 5K Fun Run, a farmers market, special activities for children, and complimentary food and beverages for area residents and members of the school community, past and present.
Harvey’s Head of School Bill Knauer plans to participate in the 10 a.m. 5K Fun Run and invites members of both the Harvey community and the wider local community to join him. The course will take participants through the woods and across the open fields of the school’s bucolic 125-acre campus.
“I look forward to this event and hope runners of all ages will sign up and join me in the run and for the day’s activities,” Mr. Knauer said. Those who wish to run should arrive at Harvey by 9:30 a.m. to register and get a number or they may pre-register online at http://harveyschool.org/5krun
The farmers market, which opens at 10 a.m., features a number of vendors selling a wide range of goods from fresh fruit and vegetables, to brick-oven breads, organic olive oil, freshly baked goods, delectable candies, and fresh honey and maple syrup, to healthy skin care products, and unique designs of clothing, jewelry, and pottery.
