Orchestra & Choral Concert

Performances by the Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Elissa Leventhal, and the John Jay Chorale, conducted by Joanna Giordano.    Highlights include “Bacchanale” by Camille Saint-Saens; “Winter Song" by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson, performed by the Chorale and accompanied by the string section of the Symphonic Orchestra; and "Somebody to Love" by Queen.

Band Concert

A program of music featuring three ensembles conducted by Emily Pierson: John Jay’s Concert Band, a freshman ensemble; Symphonic Band, made up of sophomores through seniors; and Wind Ensemble, a select group.    Highlights include Leroy Anderson's "Bugler's Holiday," featuring three solos played by four trumpet players, and selections from Hans Zimmer's "The Lion King" performed by all three bands.
