Cashless Tolling System
The New York State Thruway Authority, in conjunction with the construction of the New NY Bridge to replace the Tappan Zee Bridge, is installing a cashless tolling system. The gantry will be temporarily located near exit 10 on the southbound Thruway in South Nyack. The cashless tolling system will go live Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 12 a.m.

- Location - The temporary overhead gantry is located on the Rockland County side southbound toward the Tappan Zee Bridge in South Nyack
- What should motorists do?
o E-ZPass motorists: Nothing changes - Their toll ($4.75) will be automatically deducted.
o Non-E-ZPass motorists: Pay via Tolls By Mail ($5.00)
- Continue under gantry at highway speed without stopping
- Cameras will photograph license plate
- Toll bill will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle
- Payment options, once the toll bill is received: online via a website already used by the MTA , phone or by mail
This is the first and only Tolls By Mail location on the New York State Thruway system.
