Breaking News: NTSB Holds News Conference on Metro North Crash

 

Moments ago the National Transportation Safety Board held a news conference to answer questions related to yesterday's Metro North train crash in Valhalla. NTSB Board Member Robert L. Sumwalt, speaking on behalf of the board said, "The entire interior of the first rail car was burned out and the initial indications were that fire was fueled by gasoline from the SUV." A full report of the crash investigation is underway.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as Ellen Brody, a 49 year old mother of three. Twelve victims of the crash remain at Westchester Medical Center, with one in reportedly critical condition. Six crash victims have died.
