Choral group Camerata d’Amici is delighted to present its winter concert “Be Thou My Vision” on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 4 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 6 Ivy Hill Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Conducted by Kristin Sponheim, the concert will feature a diverse repertory of music of hope and resilience.

The first half of the concert features a number of pieces about love and connection,  including “The Weaver” by Jacob Narverud and “Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)” by Billy Joel, arranged by Philip Lawson for men’s chorus.

The program will continue with a series of songs that convey strength and resilience in the face of challenge, including “My Heart Be Brave” and “Holding the Light” by B.E. Boykin, for mixed chorus and “Song in My Heart” by Jocelyn Hagen, for women’s chorus.  The concert concludes with “My Good Lord’s Done Been Here,” a stirring spiritual arranged by Andrè Thomas.

Now in its seventeenth season, Camerata d’Amici is an auditioned choir made up of singers from Fairfield and Westchester counties. “Be Thou My Vision” will feature performances by the full group and a select chamber ensemble, as well as men’s and women’s pieces and vocal solos by soprano Juliet Pratt and tenor Jake Young of Ridgefield, and Thomas Carr of Danbury.  The choir will be accompanied by Margarita Nuller (piano).

Tickets at the door are $30 for adults and $10 for youth 18 and under. Advance tickets, with a reduced ticket price of $25 for adults, may be purchased at cameratadamici.org. Online tickets are available through Friday, February 28. Follow Camerata d’Amici on Instagram and Facebook, and listen to past performances on YouTube.
