Socially Distanced Tea Ceremony Explores the Relationship Between Tea and Japan’s Ceramics Tradition

Discover the history and significance of a traditional tea ceremony, Chadō (The Way of Tea). This intimate tea ceremony, which will take place in-person at the Museum, will involve a live tea demonstration and lecture by Marybeth Welch, an expert on the Urasenke Tea Ceremony, along with her associate Aya Takamoto, who comes from a family of tea practitioners dating back to the 15th century. 

Limited capacity; attendees will be socially distanced. Members $35; non-members $40.
