John P. Humeston
John P. Humeston, 52, of Pound Ridge, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Colleen (Barth) Humeston and beloved father of Morgan Humeston.John was born in Cross River, NY on May 26, 1965; a son of Roger Humeston and Jean (Erhard) Huested.A lifelong resident of the South Salem - Pound Ridge area, John was the owner of Bayberry Watergardens of Pound Ridge. He loved landscaping and constructing watergardens. He enjoyed skiing with Colleen and spending time with family.John is survived by his daughter, Morgan; and his parents, Roger Humeston and Jean Huested. In addition, he is survived by his brothers; Ed Diesing and his wife, Wendy; Roger Humeston Jr. and Charles “Chip” Humeston and his wife, Kelly and their children Courtney and Kayla as well as a sister in law, Lisa Dugan and her husband, Colin and their children, Brian, Matthew and Christopher.John was predeceased by his wife, Colleen.Friends will be received on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place on Thursday March 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at South Salem Cemetery; Spring Street, South Salem.
