Community Discussion: The Nature of Suicide - Current Understanding and Evaluation Practices on Thursday, May 10, 7:00 pm
An important community discussion for residents and workers of Lewisboro. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, statistics for New York State show that suicide is the second leading cause of death in young people ages 25 to 34 and the third leading cause of death in those ages 15 to 24. In this interactive discussion, Dr. Mark Stracks will review the current trends related to adolescent and adult suicide risk and intervention strategies for families and professionals. Families, clergy, health professionals, first responders, and school and town officials are all invited to attend this important discussion.
