When do you collect items for the Library Fair?
Our steadfast Library volunteers have been collecting donations of gently used books, toys and items for the Fair's Attic Treasures Tag Sale on Saturdays in August. The last two donation days are August 25 and September 8 (no collection Labor Day Weekend).
Where do I bring the items?
Donations can be dropped off at Onatru Farm from 10 am to noon on these days only. Onatru Farm is located at 99 Elmwood Road in South Salem. Please do not bring items to the Library - we have no storage space.
Do you take all Books?
Books must be in good condition (i.e. no mildew - mildew can spread to other books ). We do not take condensed books, text books, encyclopedias, small paperbacks or magazines.
What kinds of Toys can I donate?
We are looking for games, dolls, dress-up clothes, action figures, complete puzzles, ride-on toys, playhouses. No stuffed animals.
What Kind of TREASURES are in Attic Treasures?
The Attic Treasures sale includes a variety of items.
We are seeking gently used furniture, bicycles, artwork, home decor, kitchen and sports equipment, pet carriers and small appliances. Items MUST be in working condition.
We do not accept videotapes, upholstered/oversize furniture, bedding, window treatments and accessories, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, mini refrigerators, computers and accessories, large appliances, downhill skis or exercise machines.
DISHES - assorted sets, place-settings, servings pieces, Pyrex, Lennox, Pfaltzcraff , etc
FURNITURE - desks, curio cabinet, chairs, coffee & end tables, bureaus, etc
HOME DECOR - frames, lamps, pictures, vases, collectibles (Hummel)
SPORTS EQUIPMENT - golf clubs & practice net, LL Bean snow tube, snowboards, bikes, life jackets
PET SUPPLIES - dog crates & carriers
When is the Library Fair?
The Library Fair is Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 4 pm at Onatru Farm.
