The Maritime Aquarium invites homeschool families to visit the Aquarium and participate in award-winning, hands-on educational programming on Wednesday, March 29 for “Homeschool Day.”
“These biannual events are special opportunities for homeschool students,” said Vice President of Education Tom Naiman. “They get to experience programs and work with Aquarium educators just like our school groups! During these sessions, students are encouraged to think critically, and build a deeper connection with nature and the world around us.”
Homeschool Day features 10 grade-appropriate programs that meet Next Generation Science Standards through animal encounters, scientific investigations, and even a cruise on Long Island Sound. Students interested in participating in these programs must be registered in advance.
