Yesterday (Tuesday, March 29) afternoon, the college was approached by the Hillary Clinton campaign and asked to provide a venue for a speech by the candidate. We approved this request. The event will take place tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, March 31) at 1:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center.
We welcome the chance to allow our community to participate in the election process. If other candidates approach the college with similar requests, we would offer the same opportunity that we are providing to the Clinton campaign. These appearances are educational events. They are not and should not be construed as support for or endorsement of the candidate.
There will be increased security on the campus tomorrow. I apologize in advance for any disruptions to schedules. For those who are interested in attending, a RSVP form is available at www.hillaryclinton.com. I will share any further information on the event that I receive.
